Stanex Inc. was founded in 1974 by Louis Pedicelli and Jim O'Shaughnessy. Stanex Inc. specializes in the sale of fire protection systems and emergency lighting. In 1984, Stanex Inc. merged with R.F. Pilon and Associates, a company specialized in the field of power supply equipment. In 1994, Mr. Pierre Gagnon and Mrs. Monique Patenaude joined the management team. For the past 30 years, Stanex Inc. worked closely with Eaton Corporation, Powerware division (formerly Exide Electronics) and Siemens (formerly Pyrotronics and Cerberus). Stanex Inc. remained as the leader regarding power supplies and security equipment throughout the province of Québec.

In 2004, 42 employees were employed by Stanex Inc. Stanex Inc. specialized in technical sales, support and service. It offered services to the electric power, data processing and security industries. Stanex Inc. will direct its operations towards a more global view of the market and a closer collaboration between its 2 divisions. The company developed a “Total security management” concept thanks to its wide range of products and services. Stanex Inc. continues to offer its customers the opportunity to purchase everything related to security from a single supplier.

The main products distributed by Stanex Inc. included the following: fire protection system components, card access control systems, cameras, intrusion protection, extinguishing equipment, surveillance modules, gas detection systems, electromagnets, emergency lighting systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), distribution modules, batteries, battery chargers, transient filters, voltage regulators, harmonic suppressors, power supplies, frequency converters and transformers.
