In addition to having an effective fire detection system, your business needs added tools for complete protection against fires. Stanex offers 3 types of equipment to contain fires: sprinklers, fire extinguishing and portable equipment such as fire extinguishers and fire hose reels.

Sprinklers

Automatic sprinklers are among the most efficient systems that can be used to control or extinguish a fire. Upon an emergency, the water under pressure is quickly released over the whole surface in order to contain, slow down or extinguish the fire.

Extinguishing Systems

Stanex offers two types of extinguishing systems, either water based or gas based; three different systems are offered. We will recommend you the best system for your needs based on the materials and the construction you need to protect.

The key to FIRETRACE's effectiveness is our unique, high-tech, polymer tubing which will rupture when exposed to temperatures over 212ºF (100ºC). Designed for simple installation, often very near the very source of a potential fire, Firetrace is a self-activating suppression system that reliably suppresses fires in seconds.

Hi-Fog is the world's leading water mist fire protection technology, originally developed for use on passenger ships but now protecting an increasing range of land based applications. Hi-Fog systems use high pressure to produce a fine water mist with an average drop size of 50-120um.

A clean fire suppression agent for a true Halon alternative that exceeds all the criteria necessary to replace Halon 1301: safe, environmentally friendly, cost effective and validated through independent approvals. With the phase out of Halon 1301 production, effective in nearly all countries by the end of 1993, a true alternative in FM-200 is realized.

Portable equipment

In the event of a fire, a quick response prior to the activation of the building's fire extinguishing system can prevent extensive damage to the building.

Portable Extinguishers

Fire extinguishers can be used to contain small localized fires before a building wide fire extinguishing system is triggered and greater damage occurs. Different classes (A, B or C) and types (water, powder, foam, CO2) of fire extinguishers exist to contain specific kinds of fires. Some of the factors that influence the choice of fire extinguishers to be used on your premises include the risks in the environment (i.e. working with highly combustible products, presence of inflammable products) and the source of the fire (i.e. electrical, chemical or ordinary combustibles).

Hose Reel

Fire hose reels are used to contain fires in areas that cannot be adequately suppressed by fire extinguishers. Most often, fire hose reels, which generally use water to combat flames, are found in multi-storey buildings, large complexes or other locations where many people are present such as hotels and sport complexes.
